Behind the counter the cashier rings up a customer. After the customer leaves, it's the daring crook's turn. He innocently asks the clerk for a price check. When she turns to check it for him, he makes his daring move. The clerk turns back to face a deadly two foot machete that the thief has pulled out of his sweater. He points it to the clerk's face and orders the cashier to give him all the money in the cash register. But what the thug does not know is that the store has made some security changes since his friend's last robbery. The clerk refuses to open the cash drawer and retreats away from the thief. The blade wielding punk starts to come around the counter to terrorize the shocked clerk into opening the register for him. However the cashier pulls a three and a half foot machete of her own and displays it to the thief. Now it is a standoff. As soon as the thief sees the significantly larger machete in the clerk's hand he returns to his initial position away from her reach.

The clerk uses the weapon only as a defense figure and does not actually attack the thief with it. The thief calls the clerks bluff and tries to open the register on his own. The male store owner finally realizes the serious situation happening in the store and comes running out of a back room. He quickly grabs hold of the giant knife from his employee's hand and heads from behind the counter to the thief who was still trying to get the cash register to open. As soon as the young man sees him coming at him he fears for his own safety and flees the store. He gets away without a dime. But thanks to fingerprints and this surveillance video he will not get far now it is only a matter of time before he joins his friend in Jail because when this holdup became an arms race the boy bandit came in last.

The surveillance footage in this story served more than one purpose. To start with, it was evidence to the crime, secondly it captured the thief's identity, and thirdly it made the store managers realize that their security plan was weak and needed to be upgraded to a new level.
