It began like any other day at an Indiana state Jewelry shop. The store owner and her employees opened up the shop as usual. Customers started to pour in the store and everything seemed normal until noon. A few minutes past 12 pm two black males entered the store cautiously while having both of their hands in their pockets. They appeared to be interested in a piece of jewelry, and they eventually decide to buy it.

They called for a clerk to help them buy the item. Their clerk turned out to be the manager of the store and owner of the business. She was an old determined lady. She greeted them and complimented them on their choice. As soon as she wrapped the item and told them the price, one of the two men immediately stepped back, took his arm out of his pocket and pointed a gun to the cashier's head. He quickly ordered everyone to lay flat on the floor. His accomplice made sure that all the customers in the store are not resisting and are down on the ground.

The clerk stood in shock and did not move for a few seconds. The first gunman suddenly noticed that an employee was moving in the backroom. As the crook attempted to approach him and order him to surrender the old woman confronted him. She ordered him to leave the store and even tried to grab his gun. The thief was shocked by the old woman's daring behavior but he still resisted her and fired a shot into a wooden jewelry case to catch her attention and confirm that this robbery case is not a joke and that the gun was a hundred percent real.

The old clerk finally backed off and watched them with sorrow. Like a school teacher scolding a student, the old 5�2 store owner kept questioning the robbers while they cleaned out her Jewelry cases and ordered customers to lie on the floor. The two young men took everything they could and fled. The old clerk quickly fled outside the door after them to try to jot down the license plate number of their get-away car but unfortunately, they fled on foot. One employee was right next to the case that the thief shot; the bullet produced an immense damage to the case. The store owner later admitted that attacking the gunman was probably not the best choice. And while the surveillance systems caught it all on tape next time she says she will probably have a gun in the store.

Fortunately, the thieves were not smart enough to cover up their faces. The superb, digital, and colored security camera systems that the store owner invested in, a few months back, proved to be enough to capture the identities of these armed men. The surveillance video enabled the police of quickly identifying them which eventually led to their arrest and prosecution. At a later viewing of the footage the store managers realized that they had no real emergency plan that they could quickly implement in cases like this. Thanks to the footage now they can pin point their weak points and address them.
