The cashier at the front of the store ducks the menacing aim of the cover man's pistol pleading for her life. Another clerk who was lying on the floor away from the bandit's view was able to sneak a push of the alarm button. But help may not get there on time. Fortunately the store owner had a 42 caliber gun in the back room with her that she never leaves without it, she did not use it for a long time but she new that it was still functional. She reached for her gun. She cocked the gun and waited for the vigorous thief to break the door and enter the room, but the attacker can not break the door down.

The frustrated thieves argue amongst themselves to flee the store or not after this massive delay due to the unbreakable door and also due to the large number of customers who may choose to resist at any moment and overpower them. A second robber decides to give his friend a help in breaking the door. The store owner finally decided to shoot the window of the office’s window. The second bandit heads for the back and as soon as he approached the door to the office the store owner fired her weapon at the window.

The gangsters raced out the store even faster than they came in. the explosion of glass caught them all off guard and they fled empty handed as their plan shatters to pieces. What these criminals took as bad luck may have actually saved their life. The store owner was armed, the gun was cocked, and she was ready to shoot anybody who came through the door of the office, this spelled out a guaranteed fatality for the daring culprits. Furthermore the thieves' identities were captured on the surveillance footage of the store. Not to mention that their license plate number of their get-away car was also recorded by the outdoor security camera. The store owner’s shot may have caused her a window, but that was a small price to pay to protect her staff and herself.
