The security technology has virtually spread to every type of property, business and governmental facility in the nation. Not to mention vehicles and other modes of transportation. Dashboard cameras for vehicles, especially police cars, have been added to the list of successful and extremely beneficial security security products just a few decades ago. These devices consist of the actual Security cameras as well as a DVR recorder connected with it to save the captured footage digitally for future reference. The camera itself is mounted inside the police car on the dashboard with the lens pointed towards the glass windshield in front of the car. These devices allow police officers to capture the incidents of a criminal arrest of investigation as it unfolds. In this coming incident we will see how a routine police stop ended up with a fatal twist The dashboard camera of a police car shows the car’s front view as it races down a street in Blueash, Ohio. The officer is in a hurry to track down a stolen car that just eluded police. Suddenly, the police officer spots the fugitive driver attempting a U-turn but as soon as the police flash his lights the fugitive flees. Other officers quickly join the chase but what police do not know is that there is an innocent passenger in the front seat who was a neighbor of the suspect driving the car. The front seat passenger just needed a ride to the drug store and had nothing to do with the wild chase. The passenger first realized that there was a real problem when his neighbor first took off, he knew he was in trouble when he looked at the face of his driving neighbor, he looked determined and petrified at the same time. The passenger now finds himself riding a wild ride with a mad man and there was no way to escape. the crazy suspect tried to ram the police car following him almost three times and was traveling southbound at a speed well over a hundred miles per hour. Up ahead, another officer set up spike strips to damage the tire’s of the suspect’s vehicle. The desperate driver can see the trap and pleads with the determined driver to stop the vehicle and not try to evade the strips by conducting a risky maneuver. They were approaching an intersection with red lights and he violently screamed at him to stop the car before he kills both of them, instead, the crazed driver swerves dangerously and blows right past the strips.
Knowing his life is on the line, the desperate passenger takes drastic action. He started to grab the wheel in an attempt to gain control of the situation but he soon realized that if he would have swayed the car, they would have flipped and risked a devastating crash that could prove to be fatal. They were simply going way too fast for this dangerous maneuver. Finally the suspect was cornered at a cross roads. The officer sees his chance and aims his cruiser at the driver’s door. But the passenger’s nightmare ride is far from over. The driver jams the car in reverse and the police officers decide to open fire. Once again the officers try to slam the outlaw’s car into submission in several incidents, but he seemed unstoppable. An officer finally manages to hop on the hood of the suspect’s car and empties his side arm at point blank range. Glass hits the disturbed passenger in the face, bullets went right into the driver and blood was going everywhere. Incredibly the officer’s hail of bullets misses the passenger by mere inches; the cops quickly rush in and remove the terrified passenger. He later explains to the police that he barley knew the driver and only considered him a quite next-door neighbor. It turns out his neighbor was an ex-con and was avoiding getting caught by the police to avoid a returning trip to prison. All of which led to the passenger’s night of sudden terror. The passenger could have easily died, other innocent civilians, pedestrians, and commuters could have died as well. In fact the passenger did not expect to be rescued he expected to be killed. |
