Processor
The Intel Atom processor uses a brand new design structure that packs in 47 million transistors into a single chip sized at just 22mm (0.87 inches), and it uses just 2.5 watts of power--less than 1/10 of the 35 watts used by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor--for excellent battery management. This 1.6 GHz Atom N270 processor also includes a power-optimized front side bus of 533 MHz for faster data transfer on demanding mobile applications and a 512 KB L2 cache (which temporarily stores data).

Storage
This version of the Aspire One comes with a 160 GB hard disk drive (5400 RPM), which offers enough to room to hold a digital audio library of over 26,000 songs and still have room left over for movies, games, and a large collection of software. I am the secretary for a few organizations and found that while trying to take minutes of meetings my handwriting left much to be desired. This little gem of a computer allows me to take great notes that I can read and also gives me the latitude of preparing for a meeting by having all my materials within the computer. And I am no longer surrounded by paper!

I bought this expecting it to be more of a toy than a computer. It's a computer. The 1.5 gig of ram is a little small, the touch pad is not my favorite, and the typing can sometimes be cramped, but these are fairly minor annoyances. Add a small wireless mouse and it is near perfect. I put all of my photos on it and the quality of the display is far better than I expected, and every bit as good as my $1200 hp. I purchased this about a month ago and I couldn't be happier!

The pros: super portable, great wireless connectivity, fast, lightweight, keyboard is very easy to type on (doesn't feel like I'm typing on a mini computer), has a slot for camera cards (SD & xD), lots of hard drive space, 3 USB ports, great battery life (4 hours)

Exactly as I had researched, this IS the king of the netbooks. So far I love this laptop, it is perfect for what I wanted it for, portable basic computing...but honestly I'm finding this little powerhouse can handle ANYTHING I throw at it with ease.
I wouldn't want this as my primary pc/laptop, but for a portable, long lasting (6 hours FIRM!), fun to use laptop that WILL turn heads (everybody has to touch it and play with it!) you will NOT be disappointed!
