I explained the problems that I was having and I was told that the cover was designed for protection and NOT to be used when reading. - Original Cover is more then enough, not sure why people rate it so bad...I will say this is not a perfect cover, but I have not had all the issues other people have mentioned. Sure, it could hold it better, but then would you have access to the switches and rear cover as well?.
I just cannot understand why folks would rate it so bad, if I have not experienced what they have. I use my Kindle almost every day, it does not fall out become inaccessible. - A piece of garbage not worthy of the KindleThis cover is garbage. It doesn't work at all unless you want to stick velcro on your Kindle or pull the elastic over to cover the lower right corner (which quickly stretches it out.)It's ugly too (vinyl over cardboard). Save your money and buy one of the third party covers available. They are beautiful, durable and actually do their job of protecting the Kindle and keeping it secure. - The Kindle Cover Works PerfectlyThe Kindle cover does exactly what it is designed to do.....hold the Kindle firmly in place. I am one of those boring people who reads the manual before using a new device.I had read the the Kindle cover was worthless. Not so! The cover has a plastic tab on the inside near the spine that clicks into the groove found on the left side of the back of the Kindle. The Kindle is held firmly in place and does NOT fall out when properly inserted in the cover as per the manual.
