- Face it, the only reason...... anybody would really be here is if, tada! something is wrong with the original adapter that came with their Kindle. - necessaryi love my kindle but lost my adapter somewhere along the way. i have a car charger but it was driving me crazy to have to charge it that way. i found it very easy to go to amazon and found they are for sale and ordered one right up. thanks for making it so easy.

- Can you make it cat proof?The power cord does what it is supposed to do, which is supply power to the Kindle device to recharge the battery. For that I give it 5 stars.
However, my cat chewed my first cord just before I was leaving for a long trip, and that necessitated the old "fix it with duct tape" ploy. However, that didn't work very well. So I had to subtract a couple of stars for failure to foresee that many readers have cats.
If you could make the device cat proof, I and my Kindle would be eternally grateful!
